Whenever you write a blog post, post a status update on Facebook, or tweet it is usually infused with identity. You don’t have to inject identity or personality or persona in anything that you produce, write, or record. It’s all identity-laden.
That doesn’t mean that you can’t inject identity into it. You can create and recreate yourself and inject that into the stuff you create, but just because you don’t consciously do it doesn’t mean that it doesn’t happen.
It’s scary to think about – as I write this out. You can’t stop an identity. Why would you want to?
