A Good Class

I just finished a class tonight.  It was an amazing group of students.  We had a great time.

We really wrestled with the issues and the theories in education.  Tonight we talked about the new insights that we picked up in our time together in class. It always amazes what concepts really stand out for them.  I like all the concepts, but it works out best when they are able to take the ideas and apply them immediately to their context.  I think we all learned something.

Do you know what makes a good class though?  Students.  Students make the class.  I don’t care what your teacher says – there wouldn’t be a class without students.  The teacher doesn’t make the class good – the students do.  Teachers without students – well, that’s just research.
