Revisit

Yesterday, I wrote about some Twitter sites that I have used. You have to check out this site – http://moritz.stefaner.eu/projects/revisit-twitter-visualization/. It’s pretty cool. Check out the terms that you’re using and writing about and get a visualization of those terms in the twitter-verse.

Twitter and Identity

Have you ever heard of personality leakage or identity seepage. Spend some time checking out another’s Twitter stream and it is overflowing with identity seepage. Check out your identity cues in your Twitter stream:

1. Who you identify with?
2. What you think is important – what they retweet. It’s identifying themselves with a particular website or article.
3. What you actually say?
4. What people say to you says a lot about you?

Twitter Stream as Identity Leakage – would have been a better title, but not the best word picture. What does that say about me?

The Oscars

I am watching The Oscars – in like 2 hours without any commercial interruptions.  It’ll be so nice to just fly thru the commercials.  I have been conditioned.  I have been dvr – conditioned.  I can’t watch it live because it almost bothers me – commercials bother me.  I can’t help it.  So I will be 2 hours behind on all the tweets – not that I’m going to watch Twitter as the Oscars go on, but almost all events have a twitter stream that you can watch.   Of course, I have to wait 2 hours to see if they are showing anyone’s tweets.

In other news – I called this post The Oscars, but this post has nothing to do with the Oscars.  It has to do with me not liking commercials.
