Follow up to My Previous Post

My previous post about a thin line between leading and quitting was written – more asking questions than making a statement.  As in many blog posts, the set up was a bit unfair.  I pitted leading vs. quitting.  There’s just way to many variables to land on either side, and each case is unique.  There are great reasons for leading through things and great reasons for calling it quits.

At the end of the day, it’s about knowing when to do one or the other.  At the end of the day, it’s about knowing when enough is enough.  At the end of the day, it’s about knowing what the price is that you have to pay to power through it.  At the end of the day, it’s about being wise in your decisions.

In some instances, leading through a decision is great leadership.  In other cases, quitting at the right time is great leadership.  Be great whether you’re leading or quitting.  How about that?

I think this is what I just said to your previous post, but in different words. So….disregard my previous comment because I just reitorated this one without realizing it.

I like the leading bit, but I also like the not quitting bit.
I think it’s be smart enough to land something that you don’t have to quit.
