Rejuvenate Your Identity

This only works if you know where you’re from.  Well, this idea that I’m about to write anyway.

If you want to rejuvenate your identity – find yourself back at home.  There’s just something about it.  I’m not talking about the house your grew up in – although that can definitely be where home is.  There’s something about going home – that place where your soul finds rest – that place where your soul finds it’s anchor – that place where you rejuvenate your identity.

It stands out to me because I’ll be going home to Hawaii in about 10 days.  I am excited to go home.  I am excited to rejuvenate my identity.  I didn’t realize that I needed it until I thought about it tonight.  I can’t wait to go home.  I can’t wait to swim and surf in the ocean.  I can’t wait to eat the food – there’s something about how certain foods from certain restaurants will just rejuvenate my soul.  I’m so ready.

As I write this, I can think of a few people – some that read this blog – that don’t have home.  I write about this idea knowing full well that they are lost and looking for their identity.  They’d be able to re-establish it if they had home.  For those of you that know you fit this category – you’re invited to come to Hawaii and come to my home – you’ll have to get your own ticket, but if you’re there when I’m there, welcome home.
