Identity is formed when someone explores a multitude of identities, and then makes commitments to them.
Someone that isn’t exploring or hasn’t made any commitments are lost.
There are those that actively explore alternatives and seem to be wandering – but in essence – they are.
There are those that have made commitments, but haven’t yet explored or experienced what they are so committed to. This ends up looking like parental ideas that have been transfered to them.
Then there are the few that are actively pursuing and making commitments to identities.
