These days, it’s so easy to become a lender. I’m not rich, but today with opportunities provided by kiva.org, I can lend money to an entrepreneur in another country through different microfinance institutions. It’s pretty easy. It’s pretty fun too – reading the stories about entrepreneurs that need money. Not only are they learning how about money and microfinance, kiva is helping people break the cycle of poverty. More importantly than that, kiva is helping connect people. Kiva is helping me to make a difference in the world. It’s not much, but that doesn’t matter. I can lend to an entrepreneur – half the world away.
