You probably know these last names. They have been branded in such a way that they are synonymous with their products. Ford has been around for over a hundred years, and they are still around making great cars. The other 2 last names are connected to 2 technologists who lead two particular tribes-Gates=Windows and Jobs=Mac. You know this.
But what do they all have in common? What did these innovators and entrepreneurs all do the same? They all have made a ton of money. You all know their names. They have changed the world, but what do they all have in common. They all dropped out of school. They decided that they didn’t want to color in the lines and they didn’t care about the grade – and that helped them change the world.
What am I doing as an educator to teach those that do decide to stay in school – how to change the world?
