College students these days customize everything. You can customize your web browser, your desktop, your profiles, and I’ve even heard of kids customizing the clothes that they buy at the Gap. You can’t just buy it and wear it without tweaking it somehow.
I’ve always wondered how I could make education customizable. If they customize, how do I allow them to do so at the college where I work at.
There will be a day when you will be able to use iTunes U to listen to the content that only those at Stanford and Harvard were able to hear – but it is now available to you. You’ll be able to customize courses from all of these institutions and gain a degree that way – or at least, it’s looking that way.
