A few days ago, I wrote a post entitled-Where I Am. I was listening to Media Hacks this morning (a podcast) and they were talking about this website called pleaserobme.com. It raises awareness about privacy issues in the social media space. It is not meant to be used to actually figure out who’s not at home and going to their house to rob them during that time. Of course, on the podcast, one of the hosts made a comment that most of us work so when we’re working, we’re not at home. If someone really wants to rob you, they don’t need a website to do it, but it does demonstrate the need for users to be aware of the private information that you make public.
