If you know of anyone that doubts the power of Twitter (I know a few), just point them to the way that the news channels are using them.  In Chile, the earthquake was much stronger than the one in Haiti, but there just weren’t as many people in the area so not as many died.  There is not electricity there – according to the news, but they are getting their news from Twitter and Social Media.  I can’t believe that the news caster said that.  We only need to watch the news to see the video.  They are getting the latest news from Twitter.  I was watching the Twitter streams and this one girl was getting one follower a minute during her tweet-cast.  Twitter is definitely better than the news.
