The Internet and Rules

There really aren’t any rules on the Internet.  We might have rules on the networks that we log onto.  For instance, I just did a search for Internet Rules, and the first one said – that there are no rules on the Internet so I clicked it.  Guess what happened?  The filter for the particular network that I am on didn’t allow me to see it page.  There might not be any rules on the internet, but each particular network can set up their own rules.  Typically-they are rules of access and authentication, but sometimes the limits are a bit ridiculous.

I heard a principle today about this.  The more you protect, the less you serve.  Is it worth it?  I guess it’s worth the psychological answer – it depends.
