Teens are Adults

At least in California they are. The State has allows for students in high school the freedom to leave school with parental consent in the case of pregnancy, abortion, and drug rehab. The school district in San Diego just passed this and students no longer need parental consent to handle these situations.
Teens are now making their own decisions. They are allowed to take responsibilities for their actions. Teens – according to the district and the state – don’t need parents. Teens are making adult decisions. Teens are adults – at least in California and San Diego.
The rules might be different where you live, but there has been a paradigm shift where teens now are adults.
