Teleios 2

About a year ago, I wrote a post on Teleios.  It was a big concept for something that I was writing.  The idea of teleios – a greek word that means perfect.

Where do we learn that we need to be perfect?  We learn in school that a perfect grade is 100%.  We learn in school that 100% = an A+.  For almost 13 years, you are conditioned to strive for perfect.  If you go to college, add another 4 years of striving to be perfect.

C is average.

We won’t get 100% in everything that we do.  You can’t always get an A – and would you want to.  I guess I just know that I am not perfect.  I can strive to achieve teleios, but never become it.
