What You Don’t Say

Unintended communication and unintended messages say just as much as what you intend to say.  I write this knowing full well that it absolutely applies to anything that I’ve ever written on this blog or on Facebook or on Twitter.  But how does one learn how to “read” what is not said?  Is it possible to gain skill or ability in learning how to read what is not said?

It doesn’t matter if it’s written or unwritten, verbal or nonverbal, images and pictures; what is chosen to represent the message also communicates what you don’t say.

Sometimes, what is not says so much more.
