Humbled but not satisfied, content but not done

This was my status update on Facebook this morning.  I wrote it.  I thought it.  I believe it, but it’s interesting to look at it after I’ve written and really ponder it.  It was a quick thought – but as I continue to think about it, it pretty revealing.

What does this mean for me?

What does this mean for my identity?

What does it mean for me as a leader?

I think that I’ve got so much to learn, but I want to give what I have away.  Part of what I was thinking about is a youtube post of Seth Godin and Tom Peters.  They were talking about blogging and Seth said – “what matters is the humility that comes from writing it…what matters is the metacogintion of thinking about what you’re going to say…how do you explain yourself.”

Tom Peters – “it has changed my life.  It has changed my perspective.  It has changed my intellectual outlook.  It has changed my emotional outlook.”  Well, you can click on the link to listen to it.
