My brother Lev is out in Afghanistan. He is in the Navy stationed at a British base working at the hospital in the OR. I blog about the stuff that he tells me that is going on out there. It’s pretty crazy and insane.
I was thinking about my problems this morning, and after I read my latest e mail from my brother, it gave me perspective. I do have problems and they are mine, but compared to what is going on in the OR of some British hospital in the middle of the hot desert in Afghanistan where injured soldiers are being put back together because someone shot them or bombed them also in the middle of the desert fighting for the freedoms and liberties that you and I experience and take for granted everyday – mine are not that bad. Mine are not that big. In fact, it’s amazing what perspective can do for your outlook and mood. In fact, what I thought were problems 10 minutes ago are really nothing more than something that I have to do. They’re not problems at all really.
If you are interested in what’s going on with my brother out in the middle of no where Afghanistan, take a look here. What gives you perspective today?
