Is it bad to have it?  Is it hubris if the thing you have pride in is what you are called to?  If you are really called to it, then it can’t be pride right?  It’s hubris.

As you can tell, I’m not quite sold on whether I believe it or not.  I guess there are 2 sides to the definition.

On the one hand, it is arrogance.  On the other hand, it is self-confidence.  It’s not bad to have self confience.  Self confidence in your calling is just you calling yourself out on what it is you were made to do – ergo hubris.

I can live with that.
