2 Word Mission Statements

I like missions statements that are easy to remember.  I’m not sure if you have a personal mission statement.  It’s great if you have one.  It doesn’t even have to be a 2 word one – as long as you have one.  I like the 2 word mission statement because in 2 words you can tell people exactly what you are about.  It’s easy to remember.  There’s really no hard fast rule as to how many words your mission statement needs to be.  The 2 word version really pushes you though to be concise and specific.

If you need help with understanding what a mission statement – check out what wikipedia has to say or just google it.  Basically, it is your purpose; why you exist.  The statement guides your actions and behavior.  My 2 word mission statement is “Your Identity.”  I wanted to use “Who you are,” but as the title of this posts suggests, I needed to make a 2 word version of my mission statement.

“Your Identity” communicates that my purpose or my job is to help you find your identity.  I am talking specifically about your ego identity, the psychological one.  If you do a search on identity, most of your hits will be about your online identity – the one that you use for access and security – that’s not the one I can help you with.  I do have some knowledge about helping you to figure out your ego identity – who you are.  I’m not a psychologist.  I’m not a identity expert, but I will be one day.  I love helping others figure it out.  It is even more fun when people don’t want to figure it out.

It might change tomorrow, but  for now I am all about “Your Identity.”  What is your 2 word mission statement?  If you can’t do it in 2 words, use as many as you want, but do comment back your mission statement – it tells me something about you.
