Thankful For My Limbs

I was hanging out with my brother today.  He just got back from Afghanistan where he worked in a hospital in the OR.  He told us a ton of stories today-stories that you just need to here first hand from someone that experienced them.

He told us one story today about the limbs that were lost – daily – because of the atrocities there.  It didn’t matter what side you were on – soldiers, men, women, children, the locals – no one was immune and no one was safe.

He ended one story by telling us how thankful he was that he still had his limbs.  I don’t ever remember being thankful for my limbs – but I’m thankful today.
