On my recent trip to Hawaii, the airline that we were on had Personal Digital Players for rent – 15 bucks for the flight.  My brother ended up renting one of those and he said that the movies on this thing wasn’t that great.  On a trip back to the lavatory, I scanned the cabin on the way back to my seat and 90% of the plane had some personal digital player-iPod-laptop-something to keep them entertained.  I was listening my iPod.

It is easy to bring our entertainment.  I was reading a magazine that took a look back at our decade.  The iPod was created early this decade.  We can carry our entertainment in our pockets now.  We don’t have to watch the communal movie on the plane – we can do our own thing.
