Songwriters Kenny Loggins and Michael McDonald wrote a song by the same title. It’s a song about a guy who believes that this girl – who he was once with – is still his girl. Poor guy right. It’s such a brilliant song. One line from the chorus says, “What seems…….to be….is always better than nothing.” This guy is living in his own world of what seems to be.
I was wondering though. Is this person a fool because he believes “what seems to be,” or does any one who believes “what seems to be” a fool? I mean, you’ve talked to that person that so believes what he’s saying that no amount of reasons and reasoning can make him see the truth. Fool or not – someone that believes so strongly in something that you can’t change their minds – could be a cool thing?
