If someone works for you…
and they are passionate about what they do….
and they absolutely love their job…..
and they don’t get that there’s a whole organization to plan for….
and they are under resourced and over worked….
and they work hard…..
and did I mention that they are passionate about what they do – so much so that sometimes they think that “my area is the most important” in all of the organization – that’s you’re fault because….
They work for you.
For whatever reason, they are under resourced and over worked – you’re fault as the leader.
And even if you did a great job picking them or at least putting them on the right seat on the bus, it’s your fault as the leader that they don’t see what they do in light of the bigger vision of the place.
Those that work for you can use this excuse. You as the leader – cannot because you are the leader. If as a leader you think that your area is the most important than you’ve missed it as the leader.
