This is a simple idea.  Most people already know this, but this one idea really made a ton of sense to me today.

It is not possible to talk about strategy without talking about tactics, and vice versa, you can’t talk about tactics without keeping the strategy in mind.  I know it’s quite simple, but why – when we are planning for the future – do we talk about strategy or developing a 5 year strategic plan.  Other times, we talk tactics without considering what the strategy or the vision of the organization should be.

I know it’s simple, but really – it’s not that easy to do.
