No matter what you do there is insider language.  It doesn’t matter what industry or field, the individuals involved in it has competency in it.  Most of it is just knowing the language.  Most of it is just knowing the words.

Think about it – knowing how to have conversations in a specific field or discipline is learning vocabulary and insider language.  Have you ever heard an engineer talk to another engineer?  Have you ever heard a a group of pilots geek out on maneuvers and tactics?  It’s great to hear their enthusiasm for what it is they do.

What’s great about Insider Language Competence is with a little bit of work – you can learn it.  It’s not like learning another language; it’s english.  But most important, Insider Language communicates a passion.  So if you want to get into a group – any group – learn the insider language.
