I know it’s quite a simple concept and your last name is your identity.  What I want to focus on though is the fact that when you talk about elementary school through high school – when you refer to a friend from those years, you refer to them with their first and last name.  You know what I’m talking about?  Even when you’re telling the story to someone that has no idea who the person is – you will still refer to that person with their first and last name.  Your last name is such a huge part of your identity.
