Identity Projection

I have written about identity projections.  You can do a search on my blog for it and a few posts show up.  I’ve talked about it in posts, but I’ve never written a post about it.

I have used this idea of identity projection to represent the Jamesian me.  A search for Jamesian me on my blog will result in these posts.

Each one of us has a real self or their personal identity = the Jamesian I.  Each person also creates projected selves – or identity projections or functional self.  According to the theory of the Reflected Self, you can have seemingly opposed identity projections and they are all still you.  It can be a picture or a profile, a screen name or anything that you put out there to represent you = identity projection.
