Projecting on an Identity is not the same as an Identity Projection. I write about Identity Projections. Here are all the Identity Projection related posts. I am all about Identity Projections. Identity Projections start with you. You create an identity that you might want to project on to the world.
Projecting on an Identity is much different. Projecting on an Identity can have a huge impact on one’s identity. The thing is we experience this all the time. That’s why it’s so important to be careful who you’re hanging out with. When you’re around someone that denies their own feelings and projects that on to someone else – that can have a huge impact on identity. It’s about passing on the blame to someone else – blame that you don’t deserve. You can’t stop people from doing it. They just blame you for their self failure. But you can choose to not be around them. You can choose to not listen to them. People Projecting and Identity on you can impact and affect your Identity Projections.
Know the Difference!!!
What a powerful post. For a very long time I did not know the difference between Identity Projection and Projection on an identity. In fact I didn’t even know they existed as separate enities.. But now I do know the difference. Which for me is very exciting and helpful to allow me to set appropriate limits, and decide who I hang with.
Thank you for this post Lem. I really enjoyed reading it.
