Some of the most brilliant, creative people I know did not do well at school. Many of them didn’t really discover what they could d0 – and who they really were – until they’d left school and recovered from their education.
The Element p. 9 – Sir Ken Robinson
A big part of figuring out who you are and your identity is to learn who you are not – and then not be that. Many people though live out the lie – that they’re not good enough – that no one would read their stuff – that they don’t matter. I could rip on the school systems that taught us to live out these lies and killed the creativity within us – or we can be about helping individuals learn who they truly are and help them become that.
Be brilliant. Be creative. Be a C student. It doesn’t matter – so long as you are in your element.
Love this. As a creative, of course 🙂
Absolutely – you love it as a creative, but you do the other stuff well. Keep creating. Thanks for the comment.
