So I was listening to This Week in Google – it was the 09.08.10 show.  They were talking about the new Google Instant feature that was launched this week.

They were saying that it’s not enough that you’re on the first page of Google anymore.  You not only have to be on the first page, you have to be one of the top 3 spots.  Not only are people not checking out the 2nd page, they aren’t even checking out the 4th spot.

You are who Google says you are, but if you’re not even in the 4th spot, most people won’t even click on you.  It’s much harder to game the search, and it’s time to created better and more content in order to get to that spot.
