How to be Amazing

A few days ago, I wrote a post about how we can be Obsessed with Resumes.  The take away line was to just be amazing.  It seems obvious to me, but I know that people like the “how to” of things.  It’s the automatic response – how?  I was curious to see what Google would say – there are a few articles on How to be Amazing, and I took a look at the first one.

Here’s the bottom line for those of you that won’t click on the link = if you want to be amazing, be yourself.  When I say “be amazing,” what I’m saying is to just be yourself – because You are Amazing.

It seems so counterintuitive.  Most think that in order to be amazing that they have to be something other – that amazing is being like this other person.  Being real and showing your true self – that’s amazing.  It’s showing your real challenges and struggles.  It’s celebrating who you are without any apology.

You can’t help but be yourself.  You can’t help but be amazing.  If you want to be amazing – just be you.

  1. Just when I least expected it, a friend of mine contacted me and asked if I would like to be part of something “AMAZING”! If it all works out, I will be doing a private photo shoot with someone (I can’t quite reveal who yet) totally Amazing! I did not seek this opportunity, but it just fell into my lap. My friend just remembered how I conducted myself as a photographer and person, and really liked working with me. I was just being myself and not pretending to be the pro I really wasn”t. I saw myself as God’s vessel to be used to witness to those around me. Well, I just thought that this post, Lem, was something that I needed to read to assure me that I don’t have to pretend to be someone else to be Amazing. Others will find that we are truly Amazing when they see where all this Amazement comes from! Amazing opportunities will find you when “you are real and being your true self”. Thanks, Lem.

I still stand in Amazement in how I got this up coming event! Why Me? … Why Not!!!?
