When Inception – the movie – came out, one of my really good friends said that I needed to watch it.  He said that it was rich with identity ideas.  I saw it in the theatre when it came out and bought it last night.  Watching it again, helps me to catch so many things that I missed the first time.  In it they talk about subconscious projections and how you can tell who’s dream they were in simply because of the worlds that they created just “looked” like them.

If you haven’t seen the movie, I won’t be spoiling anything, but one of the ideas that keeps coming up is that an idea can define you.  Not all ideas can, but each idea has the possibility of growing and defining your reality – so much so that you lose all sense of reality.  It’s important to have an Integrated Identity.  Identity starts with an idea, and it can grow to define you.
