Does that make sense? No, it doesn’t make sense, and it doesn’t have to. People are not rational. I don’t care how much schooling one has, they’ll still do dumb, irrational things. Why? Because people aren’t rational.
For years, you’re trained to think logically, correctly, and dare I say, rationally. Someone thought that asbestos was a great idea or that we should use leeches to cure our ails. Now, you’re saying, “those are all old examples.” Right, here are some new ones. We watch tv for hours. We rely on our mobile phones for everything. And who knows what else they’ll prove is bad thinking.
People are not rational, and I know what you’re doing right now, you’re trying to use your logic to prove me wrong. Very rational of you.
