…..they just take all the things that you already know and put it together for their students in a new way.

Just because you’re not learning anything new doesn’t mean that your teacher is not teaching.  Teachers are teaching because they’ve been able to put things together in ways that students aren’t quite able to.  Ask any teacher about this principle, and I’m sure they will share a story of how they are able to put together things that you already know in a new way.
