Here’s the basic idea – computers are mainly left brained.  A computer can remember information.  It can calculate things relatively quickly.  It uses algorithms to make decisions, but it’s all programmed to do it.

The Cognitive Semiconductor will have the ability to process information and adapt to it.  They’re actually working on this stuff.  In essence – let’s create a computer that make decisions – on it’s own.

This is one situation where Science should really listen to Science Fiction.  Science Fiction will tell you how it ends.
