First is the worst. You know how it goes right?
It’s one of those things that I think can shape how we feel about ourselves. Do you remember saying that in line when you were a little kid?
Everything forms. Everything shapes. You hear that enough and you start thinking it. You start believing it. All of sudden – sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will stick with me for the rest of my life.
So Second is the Best. Just don’t tell first what he is.
Isn’t it amazing how much that rhyme lies to children ‘Sticks and stones’ etc
Words have such power to harm, to cause death and pain in peoples lives. Looking after the words we speak, not being rash with them is crucial. Tame the tongue.
Words cause so much pain. Often in that pain an identity that is a lie formed from these words begins to perculate. It can take a lot of time to deconstruct this identity and find our true selves. Then that starts a whole new ballgame, or understanding who we are.
