It’s Never too Late

I’ve heard people say that at a certain point of one’s development that it’s too late – to change or grow. That limiting thought prevents them from making changes because they think it’s too late to change. I’m too old to learn. I’m too old to do something different and new. I’m too old to work on myself. I’m set in my ways.

Whatever the reason or excuse – it’s never too late. You’re never that far gone that you can’t make the change. It might not be easy, but I refuse to believe that you can’t change. You can. You can heal. You can grow. You can do something different.

There might be some situation where you might not be able to – but with the help of someone else – you can.

So you might not be able to change your identity – but someone might be able to help you with that. If you’re open to it. If you want it.

I guess the only time where it’s too late is when you’re no longer around, but if you’re still around – then it’s never too late.

Great post, brother! I think one of the main issues that I talk to many of my clients about is wondering whether they will be able to make changes later in their careers. What’s funny is it doesn’t matter whether they are in their 30s, 40s, or even older. It seems like we always think that we are beyond the learning curve. But, as you said, it is never too late to teach an old dog new tricks. I’m encouraged!

I think we limit ourselves in that way – like we truly think that we can’t change or grow so people stay stuck. I am glad you’re helping people see that they can grow and change.
If someone doesn’t want to make the change – it’s cause they don’t want to put in the work.
