There are no new ideas. They are just the same ideas that have been reshuffled and repackaged. Someone may have published it in a book, researched it in a lab, or maybe it fell on their head – but there’s nothing new under the sun. The thought of this section on ideas is not that there are new ideas – but these are the ideas that I happen to inspire me at the moment.
I would love for you to share your ideas. Please feel free to leave comments on any of these ideas or posts. Help me with whatever I have put down. Share your perspective. I’d love to dialogue with you about any of this.
One of the things that I decided to add to the Idea’s section is a paragraph review of the books that I’m reading. I took a whole course in my post-graduate studies to learn to write book reviews. The reviews here won’t be like that. Just one paragraph giving the main idea, my reaction, and my recommendation. Here we go.
The Paradox of Choice by Barry Schwartz
Ignore Everybody by Hugh MacLeod
The Year of Living Like Jesus by Ed Dobson
Drive by Dan Pinks
yo dawggy, i agree with you. i was reading Maxwell’s tenth anniversary edition of 21 Irrefutable Laws and in his intro he talks about how he changed a couple of the “irrefutable” laws… what?! i know, he says the same thing; after 10 years he changes the way that he views life and leadership. all that to say, he thinks that there is nothing new that he has written, just what he has been able to shape through his views. good stuff.
