The college school year is done. There are a handful of students on campus, but most of them are leaving for school-related trips this week. It’s a great thing, and there is this sense of emptiness about the place.
I can’t help but think about our students that went home – but will miss this place. You know, the students that are at their home, but they don’t feel at home in their own home. School – or this campus has become their home, and they will miss this place. It’ll be a summer of tough conversations and hating being at home. Being home is exciting, but there is an independence about being on this campus. I know that they will miss it.
It’s amazing how school can become home.
