The Death of DVD’s

I have hundreds of them.  My wife and I used to buy them instead of going to the movies.  It ended up being cheaper and then we’d have a dvd that we could watch again and a again.  We were on the dvd release schedule, not the newest movie in the theater schedule.

I heard today though and thought for the first time about the death of dvds.  We really don’t need them.  As we are starting to have devices that make having a dvd drive obsolete, we are moving slowly away from needing them.  You can get things over the air or streamed to your device.

So, I know it’s a few years away, but let us just take a moment to celebrate the life and coming death of dvds.

Amen.
