Where you grow up can have an impact on your identity – your sense of who you are.  I was watching a tv show last night about how the states got their shape, and there is a tremendous amount of history and politics that give each state it’s shape.  It was a fascinating program, but then the host also suggested that so many people gain their sense of identity by the state that they grew up in.

Each state has their unique set of circumstances that have shaped not just the state, but the people in them.  Have you ever met someone from Texas – just ask them what they think of their state.  You are the state that  you grew up most in.
