Pathologically Helpful

I am reading Malcolm Gladwell‘s The Tipping Point. I read that line when Malcolm was talking about Mark Alpert.  He described him on pg. 66.  The line after says – He can’t help himself.  “A Maven is someone who solves his own problems – his own emotional needs – by solving other people’s problems.”

What an interesting identity to take on – the pathologically helpful.
