I’d love to help you if I can. How can I claim to be an Identity Specialist if I cannot at help you figure out your identity? I can at least help with basic questions. I can at least give you some of the theory. I realize that I share stuff on the blog which sometimes lead to great face to face conversations about identity, but it’s not always the most practical information.
So I will put it out there. If you have a question about your identity, let me help you. If I can’t help you, I’ll point you to some resources that might be able to help you.
My boyf’s passion is, in many sense of the word, his identity. I, on the other hand, have no idea what my passion is, and therefore feel identity-less at times. I know there are a million books, and blogs, and infomercial-type sales pitches out there that claim to help you find you’re passion, but I’m a bit leery on how credible these sources are. And thoughts or recommendations?
Amanda,
Great questions. I have your e mail address and I’ll respond to this through an e mail.
Many times passion can determine identity, but there are other things that determine identity. We can explore what that might be for you. The initial question would be what are you currently exploring – in your life? We might also be able to determine this by identifying the patterns in your life so far, but we can explore that over e mail.
Honestly Amanda, you have the ability to create your identity, and the process of identity formation happens as we start weeding out the identities that we’ve created. Identity crisis moves you forward in the process. Let’s figure it out, or let’s help you choose one.
