#Starbucks and their Crappy Service

I was at a Starbucks today.  There was no one in line.  I sat there as a young lady kept cleaning as I stood there waiting to be served.  I stood there for awhile then someone else came by and asked if I needed help.  If I wasn’t buying a drink for my wife, I would have left.  I wanted to tell this young lady that her customer service skills were horrible.

Then on top of that they give you a hard time for asking for a specific drink – because they have conditioned us to customize our drink.  So you allow me to be picky and then you give me attitude for ordering what I like.  Horrible.

Starbucks wants to be the “third place,” but if you give crappy service, no one’s gonna want to come.

    hey so I worked at Starbucks as a barista and shift manager for nearly 3 years back in chicago. You can not generalize the bad service in one store to all the Starbucks nationwide. The store I worked at won several awards for customer service. While I agree how frustrating it can be when someone who is behind the counter is just wasting your time, I would suggest going to a different starbucks and you will be surprised at how it depends on the store.

      I know a few people that work at Starbucks. They tell me that every district is different. I do go to alot of them. It’s where I do most of my meetings and do most of my writing. In fact, I’ve earned 2 gold cards because I spend so much money there. hahaha. I love Starbucks. I do pick on them alot. I write alot about Starbucks actually. You should check out the other posts.
      You’re right. I can’t let one experience color my perspective on the entire company – something like 33k stores.

    Is it snowing on your blog??? 🙂 In a perfect world…a nice cup of Guatemala with a smidge of 1/2 & 1/2…a little snow…warm fire. That sounds lovely. But then, later in the day – I wanna go to the beach & work on my tan. 🙂

    I have a love/hate relationship with Starbucks. Their service has issues…but then, the only place I think that does not is Disneyland. 🙂

    I totally thought that I got hacked because of the snow. I did not know that it was a thing that wp was doing. How great is it that we can freeze and hit the beach in the same day?
    I had great service at Starbucks today. We’ll see what it’s like tomorrow. Do you miss the snow?
