This is my 1000th post. What a cheesball – to post the 1000th post about 1000 posts.
I love what Seth Godin says about his blog (and he probably has a few thousand posts) – that you can find some of his ideas on his blog, and some of them don’t work. I have been blogging for almost 2 years now, and it’s been such a great experience. Honestly, it’s shaped my ideas and my identity. The critical thinking and hubris that it takes to put out your random ideas to random people is quite humbling. I never know who’s reading it or checking it out. Unless you leave a comment or tell me that you’ve read something that I’ve written, I will never know. Of course, it’s never about that isn’t it?
Some of these ideas are snarky. Some of them are in flux. Some of these ideas don’t work. Many of these ideas are in progress. Nevertheless, I take responsibility for them. Whether they were understood or not, I wrote them. You might not have understood the jokes or I might not have communicated them correctly, but I will live with the consequences. Even as I write this post – this is more for me than anyone else. Who wants to read about my thoughts about the 1000th post? I can’t worry about that.
So I write. I continue to write and share my thoughts. I realize that you have taken the time to read these ideas. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for joining me in my journey – for reading my ideas – and commenting on them. Let’s see what the next 1000 posts will look like.
CONGRATULATIONS on your 1,000 !!! It’s such a great accomplishment and life changing. =) Thank you for always sharing a part of you with us!
