You keep checking becauase that means that someone needed you. You keep checking because we all need to be needed. It’s so much easier to communciate it with social media. When the phone goes off, we have to check to see what people need of us – becaus we need it. We like the notification. Sometimes we’ll check even when there hasn’t been a notification – just in case.

We need immediate feedback and attention. It makes us feel good. You keep checking. Because you need to be needed. It’s the new drug, but it’s an old need.
