Bryan Stow did. That’s right. He showed up to a Dodger game dressed in a Giants jersey – just like millions have done before. This time around though, he was nearly beaten to death. He’s in a coma, and he might not wake up from it.
Who knows what happened exactly? There is a $100,000.00 reward to find the guys that did it. Who knows what was said? Who knows what the misunderstanding could have been about. When you wear a jersey, you don’t just represent a team – you make a statement; a declaration. It’s part of identity formation. It’s part of choosing an identity. It’s part of the process.
You’re not going to always choose an identity that everyone’s going to like, but choosing one and representing something, anything is better than not forming an identity at all.
Bryan – we are praying for you brother.
