P. Diddy has changed his name – for the week anyway. He is now Swag.

When first heard this, I thought – what a weak identity structure that he has that he has to keep changing his name. The insight though is that it is his identity to keep changing his name. It is normal for him to be called something. It is natural for him to go by so many names. If it is a part of your identity, it is who you are, and in Diddy’s case, the name changes are consistent with who he is – so Swag it is.

One other insight is that you are stuck. You have one identity. You don’t have Swag, or you would have changed your name to that. You can chang your name to – No Swag.
