You know what they say about opinions right?

I love the ability and the freedom that we have when we blog.  We can express ideas that we might be working on.  We can share our opinions with our readers.  We can say whatever we want – and hopefully we’re adding value to those that read.

It bums me out though when a blogger might share their opinion (which I don’t have a problem with), but then hide behind their blog.  I understand those that might blog about what they don’t want their friends and family to know about.  It can be cathartic and helpful for expression and healing. But the bloggers that rip on other people and call them names, but then don’t share their name – well, that’s just uncool.

If you’re going to be mean – and I’m not necessarily stopping you from being mean – do so with your real name.  Be proud about your opinion, but then don’t hide behind your url.  Don’t be a coward.  If you’re going to be open with your opinion, be completely open.

Of course, I don’t think I have any readers that hide behind their blog, but if I do, I’m sure I’m going to hear from you (hiding).
