I read that in a tweet and there was a video that accompanied the tweet.  It had to do with all of these fans of Lost that try to figure out the story and the mythology behind it.  It has definitely propelled the story forward.  There are so many websites and forums that have popped up of fans and people that are so gripped by the story that they create the back story or hidden story in order to make sense of the meta-story.

What the true fans don’t know is that all of these websites and forums were created by the producers of the show.  They have and are using social media and these sites to continue to mess with the true fans as they watch the show and in their real lives.

Brilliant.
